Born in 1964, in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Milan Desai holds a diploma in painting from university of Gujarat and one in graphics from NID. Desai work basically comprises of figures painted in monochromatic themes. Thoroughly inspired by life and nature he goes on to express himself in very subtle means through his art. Often intermixing concepts, he seems to have attained a fine balance of holding the colours together without losing the true essence of his theme. He has displayed his works in many group exhibitions and solo shows and has attained the status of an artist who takes his craft seriously. Some of his famed works include My Inner Life, My Inner Life I, Love and Wolfman.
